Parking lot striping is generally done immediately after the lot has been newly paved or freshly seal coated.  All parking lines, handicap emblems, directional arrows, curb-painting, etc. is done with D.O.T. approved traffic paint.  The paint usually dries very quickly (less than an hour) depending on the temperature at the time of installation.
